How to choose the correct flange insert size of the breast pump ?
The size of the flange you need is the size of your nipple. Be sure to measure the diameter of the nipple alone-do not include the areola.

We could provide you with different sizes in our store. Learn more about how to measure nipple size: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0700/4828/4964/files/A_New_Mother_s_Guide.pdf?v=1685345256

There will have the nipple ruler in the package, if you are lost the ruler, you can download under this link:

Flange insert and Breast shield size issue

The flange insert is mainly used to select the appropriate diameter for the most suitable nipple size, which can improve the comfort and efficiency of the breast pump. Due to individual differences, everyone's size may vary, so we provide a measuring ruler for measurement.

The flange insert is used in conjunction with a breast shield. We have two sizes of breast shields, 24mm and 27mm. The 24mm breast shield can be paired with 17/19/21mm flange inserts. Since the inner diameter of the 24mm breast shield is 24mm, if your flange insert size is 24mm, you can use it directly without adding an additional flange insert.

If you need to add a 24mm flange insert, it can be used with a 27mm breast shield.

If your product is a 27mm breast shield and the 24mm flange insert is too large, you can stack the flange inserts. Insert the 24mm flange insert into the 27mm breast shield, then stack a smaller size such as 17/19/21mm flange insert inside the 24mm flange insert for combined use.

What should I do if the breast pump with no suction or weaker suction?

For new user:

1.it is recommended to measure nipple size and install the appropriate flange insert. Improper size can result in weak suction.

2.Please check if the breast pump is properly adhered to the breast.Due to the wearable breast pump relies on being securely attached to the body through nursing bras. If the nursing bra is not tight enough and does not hold the breast pump firmly against the body, it can result in weak suction.

3.Please check the accessories and reassemble it .The breast pump may experience air leakage if the accessories are not properly assembled or if there is damage to components such as the duckbill valve. If there is any damage by accident, replacement accessories are included in the package or purchase a replacement.

4.It is recommended to apply a warm towel for three minutes before use and adjust the mode and level according to your own situation to find the most comfortable way.

If breast milk production occurs, switch to the expression mode and select the most comfortable level for yourself. Please refer to the instruction manual for proper use of the breast pump.

1)Automatic mode provides a more continuous and stable suction. In this mode, the breast pump will suck at a slower and rhythmic pace, simulating the sucking rhythm of a baby. This mode is suitable for women who need to pump for a longer duration or desire a more comfortable pumping experience.

2)Stimulation mode aims to simulate the stimulating phase of a baby's sucking. In this mode, the breast pump will suck at a faster speed and with lighter suction to stimulate milk production in the breasts. This mode helps women initiate letdown.

3)Expression mode is specifically designed for milk expression, focusing on efficient milk extraction.

5.If you feel weak suction on one breast even after checking and finding no changes, you can try swapping the breast pump and using it on the other breast. This could be due to a decrease in milk supply. Please pay attention to your daily diet and ensure an adequate intake of protein.

After used a period time ,it is no suction/weaker suction:

  1. Please refer to this video link to troubleshoot if there is any issue with the motor

Warm note:

1)When using the breast pump, please make sure that liquids such as water or breast milk do not come into contact with the motor to prevent damage.
We have found that liquid can cause the motor to short circuit and gradually damage it.

2)Do not use a fast charger for charging the motor.

The use of a fast charger for charging the breast pump can have the following effects:

A.High voltage: Fast chargers typically provide a higher voltage output, which may exceed the voltage range designed for the breast pump.High voltage can potentially damage the circuitry and motor of the breast pump.

B.Rapid charging speed: Fast chargers can charge at a faster rate, which may cause the battery of the breast pump to overheat. Overheating can shorten the battery lifespan or lead to decreased battery performance.

The breast pump has clicking sound or noise, what happened?

(Please note :The breast pump will naturally produce operational noise, which is unavoidable and normal .However, the sound level is below 45 dB)

You can refer to the following methods for troubleshooting:

1.Lower level: Adjust the suction level to a higher setting if the clicking sound occurs at lower levels.

2.Improper assembly: Check if all the components are properly assembled and securely attached. Make sure there are no loose or misaligned parts.

3.Damaged or wornout parts: Inspect the duckbill valves, diaphragms, or any other parts that may be damaged or worn out. Replace any faulty components as needed.

4.Incorrect positioning: Ensure that the breast shield is properly aligned and positioned on your breast. Improper positioning can cause air leaks and result in clicking sounds.

5.Please keep the accessories dry before use

6.The milk or water contact with the pump motor. It can't be recovered. You need replacement pump motor.
7.The pump motor charged by incorrect power adpater. We recommend that you use a certified 5V-1A adapter to charge the pump motor. The power adapter 's output over 5V-1A can charge the pump motor, however it will damage the motor slowly.

If the breast pump is making noise and the sound does not change at higher suction levels.please contact support@mommed.com for assistance.

What should I do if the pump not working

Cause 1: Liquid entering the motor: If the breast pump motor accidentally comes into contact with water, breast milk, or other liquids, it can cause a short circuit or damage to the motor.

Cause 2:Excessive use: Prolonged and continuous use of the breast pump can cause the motor to overheat or wear out, leading to motor damage.
(If you are purchasing a single breast pump for personal use, please be mindful of the duration of use.)

Cause 3:Improper use: If the breast pump is not used correctly according to the instructions, such as using Charging the breast pump directly with a fast charger for smartphones or improperly assembling and disassembling the pump parts, it can cause damage to the motor. The use of a fast charger for charging the breast pump can have the following effects: High voltage: Fast chargers typically provide a higher voltage output, which may exceed the voltage range designed for the breast pump. High voltage can potentially damage the circuitry and motor of the breast pump. Rapid charging speed: Fast chargers can charge at a faster rate, which may cause the battery of the breast pump to overheat. Overheating can shorten the battery lifespan or lead to decreased battery performance.

Cause 4: Motor issue,I am not sure.If the pump can’t charge or turn on, please activate warranty and contact Support@mommed.com for assistant

Daily maintenance of the breast pump:

1)When pouring out milk, please remove the motor and use the provided charging cable for charging.

2)When cleaning, make sure the motor does not come into contact with water.

3)Regularly inspect and replace the accessories.

4)Please ensure that the accessories are dry before use.

5) After used , if the power light flashing ,pls charge it for 2.5 hours.

How to clean the breast pump ?

Pump motor:

Do not put the product pump motor in a sterilizer, boiling water, microwave, or dishwasher for cleaning and disinfection. This will cause product malfunctions. The correct way to clean the pump motor  is to wipe the surface with a clean paper towel or wet wipe

Silicone diaphragm,milk collect+linker ,Silicone breast shields/Flange,Duckbill Valve,Flange insert :

Do not boil or steam the above-mentioned silicone and PP material components for an extended period in boiling water. The optimal boiling or steaming disinfection time is 3-5 minutes. Boiling or steaming for more than 5 minutes can easily cause product deformation.

Correct disinfection methods:

Mothod 1:

Wipe with a paper towel, wet wipe, or cloth; scrub with a cleaning brush; place in a dishwasher with FDA-approved cleaning solution and clean with cold water.

Mothod 2:

1.Wash your hands thoroughly before starting the cleaning process.
2.If there are heavy milk stains on any accessories other than the motor, please clean them thoroughly using a small brush under running water.
3.Fill a clean pot with enough water which the water can cover all the pump parts. Bring the water to a boiled.( Please do not put the parts into the water for boil, only boiled the water)
4..Allow the water to cool little down and put the parts into the water for 5-10 minutes. And then use tongs to gently remove the pump parts from the water.
5.Place the cleaned parts on a clean surface or towel and let them air dry. Make sure to store the dry parts in a clean and cool place when they are not in use. It's important not to store wet or damp parts, as this can promote bacterial growth.

Can a breast pump with a lithium battery be taken on a plane?
Yes, although our breast pump has a built-in lithium battery, the capacity of it meets the flight safety requirements.
Can I breastfreed on one side and pump on the other?

Yes. The all-in-one design of the Wearable Breast Pump makes it so you can pump while you breastfeed your baby because there are no external cords, tubes, or dangling bottles to get in the way.

How often should the accessories be replaced?

The frequency of replacing breast pump accessories depends on the specific parts and usage. Here are some general recommendations for replacement:

1)Regular replacement: Replace the accessories regularly based on the lifespan of each component.

Lifespan of Breast Pump Accessories

Duckbill Valve : 1.5 to 2 month

Slicone breast shield :4-6 months

 Flange insert:4-6 months

Silicone diaphragm:4-6 months

2)If there is any damage, deformation, difficulty in cleaning, or odor, the accessories should be replaced promptly.

How to assemble a breast pump
  1. Install the duckbill valve onto the bottom of the Milk Collecter, making sure to insert it in the correct direction.

  2. Place the silicone breast shileds /Flange into the milk collector and press it down with your hand, ensuring that the edges are tighty sealed for a complete seal.

  3. When attaching the silicone breast shields/Flange  to the milk collector, align the pouring spout on the silicone breast shields/Flange with the pouring spout onthe milk collector. Then press the edges with both hands to ensure a proper seal.

  4. Install the pump motor of the breast pump onto the milk collector, making sure to align the groove underneath the pupm motor with the he milk collector. Press it down to fully seal it with the  milk collector

Notes:

1)Please make sure to clean the main unit according to the instructions in this user manual.

2)Please ensure proper assembly of the main unit as instructed in this user manual.

3)To avoid leakage, clean any residue from the edges before assembly.

4)Thoroughly wash your hands before assembling the cleaned components.

How to deal with breast milk leakage?
1.Ensure that all the components are properly assembled and securely attached.

2.Place the breast shield on your breast and make sure it forms a tight seal around the nipple.

3.Start the breast pump and observe if there are any leaks around the breast shield or other parts of the pump.

4.Check for any visible signs of milk leakage, such as wet spots or drips

5..If you notice any leaks, try adjusting the position of the breast shield or tightening the components to create a better seal.

6.If the issue persists, inspect the duckbill valves, diaphragms, or any other parts that may be damaged or worn out or deformation. Replace any faulty components as needed.

7.When using the breast pump, please ensure that it is positioned upwards and tightly against the breast. Do not lie down while using it. Adjust the suction time accordingly to avoid overfilling. When removing the breast pump after expressing milk, be careful not to pull or tug forcefully. Pay special attention not to touch the edges of the flange to prevent any leakage. Remove the breast pump at a slight upward angle. If you are wearing a supportive bra, loosen the shoulder straps to allow enough space for the breast pump to be removed comfortably.

8.If you are an over-supplyer, our largest milk collector can only hold a maximum of 180 milliliters without any indication. If it is filled to capacity, it will overflow, or if the body is tilted slightly for a prolonged period, it may also cause overflow. For an over-supplyer, we recommend advising  to monitor the duration of milk expression when overflow occurs and calculate the next usage time to avoid milk spillage.

Warm note:

1.Wear supportive bras: Wearing a well-fitting and supportive bra can help minimize breast movement and reduce the likelihood of milk leakage.

2.Do not boil or steam the above-mentioned silicone and PP material components for an extended period in boiling water. The optimal boiling or steaming disinfection time is 3-5 minutes. Boiling or steaming for more than 5 minutes can easily cause product deformation.

3.Regularly inspect the breast pump for any signs of wear or damage, and replace any faulty components as needed.

What should mothers pay attention to while pumping?

1. Before using the breast pump, we recommend that you use a hot towel    for about 3 minutes to encourage the breasts to open up and produce milk so that the pumping speed will be faster.

2. When you use the breast pump, the gear of it should not be too large, you  just need to adjust to the gear you feel comfortable with. It is recommended that mothers fully open the breasts with a massage or automatic block, and  then increase the suction.

3. Generally speaking, one breast can be pumped within 8 minutes, we recommend that the maximum use time should not exceed 20 minutes.

Possible reason 2:  The parts of the pump were not disassembled during cleaning, resulting in the deformation of the product.

Solution:  Please disassemble all parts while cleaning the breast pump. If the parts are deformed during use, please replace the accessories timely.

Possible reason 3:  The duckbill valve and milk collector are in poor condition. If they are damaged or aged, the milk cannot godown into the bottle and  will run out of the bra's place.

Solution:  Please check if the product is in good condition before using it, and replace it with new accessories in time.

Why does the breast pump suck little breast milk?

1.The design principle of the breast pump is to imitate the action of the baby sucks, stimulating the breast to secrete milk, and achieve the purpose of expressing breast milk; If you feel that the effect of the breast pump is  not obvious and hope to pump more breast milk, you can place warm, wet  washcloths on your breasts for 3 minutes in advance to activate your chest, and then use the automatic mode or situmalate mode for 3 minutes,  and then slowly adjust the mode and level to find out the appropriate frequency for yourself.
2.If this is your first time using the breast pump, please use the nipple size to ensure the fit of the accessories. We only provide standard-sized accessories in our package. Due to individual differences, an improper fit of the accessories may affect suction.
3.If your milk production is low, it is recommended to consume high-protein foods in your daily diet.

Why Pain?
During use, there are a few factors that can potentially cause discomfort or pain, especially the first user.

1.Improper flange size: Using a flange that is too small or too large for your nipple size can lead to pain or discomfort. It's important to ensure that you are using the correct flange size for a proper fit.

2.Suction intensity: If the suction level is set too high, it can cause discomfort or even pain. It's important to adjust the suction to a comfortable level.

3.Engorgement: If your breasts are engorged or overly full, it can cause pain or discomfort during pumping. It may be helpful to express a small amount of milk manually or use warm compresses before pumping to help alleviate engorgement.

4.Incorrect positioning: If the breast pump is not positioned properly on the breast, it can cause pain or discomfort. Make sure the flange is centered over the nipple and creating a good seal.

Warm note :

It is recommended to apply a warm towel for three minutes before the first use and adjust to the most comfortable level for yourself.
