Digital Pet Scale (12.6inch)

This scale is fast, seems relatively accurate, and the hold button makes it great for wiggly pets. With that said, it’s not easy to get a pet weight if you don’t have experience doing it.

I ordered this scale for weighing my puppy to track her growth. While this scale is easily able to handle her weight and the plate is large enough for her, it’s very hard to get her to hold still for even the short time it takes for this scale to register her weight. A tip for those that haven’t done it before, try to use the scale when your pet is very sleepy and have treats on hand to convince them to stay where they are for a moment.

The only thing that I really didn’t like about this scale was the fact that I found the digital screen to be a little hard to read. The numbers lack clarity and are very bright. While it’s still understandable, I wish they would have changed the color or brightness a little.

One other thing to note about this scale is simply how small the plate is. At 12 ½” by 9”, it’s on the smaller side for most pets. Even my cats are pretty large for this one. I can get my 10 pound cat to sit on it and fit, but my 16 pound cat doesn’t stand a chance. I knew this before ordering, so I’m not upset since I was planning to use it for my puppy, but it’s worth noting for those wanting to use it for cats.

Overall, at the current price of around $23, this scale is a decent choice for those with extra small pets who would like to track their weight. For those with small or medium pets, this isn’t the right choice.

Overall this is a very good unit. There are a few things to be aware of though.

The manual states it is for animals up to 15KG, but the size probably doesn't match that. It would be small for a 15kg/33lb animal. Keeping all of its weight on the scale could be an issue.

The description also states accuracy to +/- 3g, the manual states +/-10g, up to 3kg total weight, then +/-- 3% up to max weight. I found using calibration weights that under 3kg it is within 2-3g accurate. Like the product link shows.

One thing that takes getting used to, in a good way, is that the buttons are contact button, not pressure. So you just touch and hold, don't press the buttons. I kept pushing the button and it would rock forward, until I realized I was pressing too hard. The scale is very light so don't press on the buttons. This is a good thing.

The scale measures fairly quickly, when you put weight on or take it off. When you put an animal on the scale it waits of couple of seconds before locking the weight, and when you remove the weight, after a couple of seconds it resets to zero, so you can weigh multiple animals without having to reset the scale or touch the buttons. Helpful when you have more than one to weigh.

The surface is also slightly textured to hide footprints, but also very easy to clean.

The rubber feet keep it from sliding around.

Overall a good scale for small animals, just keep the accuracy numbers in mind.

If you plan to use this for smaller, finer measurements it's not pefectly accurate although very close (See picture).

It also stated that it can weigh up to 66 lbs. However it errors out after 33 lbs.

It does come with batteries and the tare function works as it should.
The display is clear and bright.
The buttons are capactive touch so, no need to press which is nice.

You can cycle through Kilograms, Grams, Ounces and Pounds and Ounces.

All in all if you have a small pet under 33 lbs this should do the trick.

First impressions: This is a good size for small animals. I like the white and the easily cleanable weight tray.

Installation/setup: Take the scale out of the box, install included batteries, set on firm flat surface. Hit power button, select display form , oz, gram, etc.

Final thoughts: This is certainly useful for anything you would like to weigh up to 33 pounds. Scales don’t care what you weigh on them, this can easily be used as a kitchen scale, or to use for pets, pet food, or crafting. I plan to use mine in my kitchen.

This scale is great! I just got a new dog and I wasn't sure how much she weighed, but now I know. It's incredibly easy to use. The scale is lightweight and has a nice digital/lighted display. This scale will be great for weighing various things, and you can choose which unit of weight you need. It will weigh up to 33.06 lbs. Also, you can push the hold button to lock a weight in.

I did test out a lighter object (instruction manual) and it registered the weight perfectly. I may also use this to weigh some of my letters for mailing. It'll definitely take the question out of how much postage to use. Another nice feature is the standby for battery preservation. It shuts the scale down after two minutes of continuous display. When the batteries are low, a low battery prompt will show up, letting you know to replace the batteries.

Overall, not a bad little scale. It will definitely come in handy!!
